Vinted Members Voice Anger Over Size Modifications
Shoppers are voicing their frustration following a change that caused products showing incorrect sizing.
The popular resale platform has updated its size classifications for women's and children's garments without notifying every member regarding the update.

Countless users and merchants are posting online saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification versus the original listing because of the remapping.
The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
It has advised users to review their products and update the measurements by hand when needed, resulting in member annoyance.
Size Classification Modifications
Previously, the sizes had both one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum such as S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.
User Stories
One content creator, who creates plus-size fashion videos, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
A different member, based in Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as larger sizing 20-22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they will likely be quite upset," she explained.
Manual Updates
Charlotte Lunn, based in Derby, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the measurements for "each individual item".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she said.
Platform Context
The app has more than 100 million users, including 18 million in the UK.
It has proved a popular alternative versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: previously, the service retracted a modification regarding delivery choices after backlash from users.
